Swabian exceptionalism takes over! In their new program "Firlefanz!"
the two Swabians target modern life and serve it with
a good dose of wordplay, irony, and plenty of chaos.
Whether artificial intelligence, which might even be a little smarter
than Karl-Eugen, or relationship problems that even seasoned couples therapists
throw up their hands at – the Kächeles leave nothing out of the
normal marriage madness. The new digital age clashes with crusty
bureaucracy, Käthe transforms into Swabian Alexa and directs Karl-Eugen from
one marriage crisis to the next. And if the duo then also tries to
play through a piece of world literature, even the good Schiller would be surprised
smiling from the grave.
Käthe always knows everything – immediately, assertively, and nonstop. Karl-Eugen
of course, too. Well, theoretically. At some point. Maybe. Under certain
conditions. While she analyzes, philosophizes, and comments, he relies on
his proven mix of excuses, quirky ideas, and silent despair.
