What color is the universe? When thinking of space, one envisions endless black vastness. In reality, space is an unimaginably colorful kaleidoscope. However, the human eye cannot see this cosmic rainbow – to make it visible, sophisticated telescopes and the eyes of astronomy are needed. Florian Freistetter knows how to focus them! He takes us on a wild journey through green galaxies, to orange dwarfs, and right into the color whirlpools of black holes. What do violet planets reveal about the origin of life? Why have red planets repeatedly inspired myths and stories among humans? And what does the universe have to do with Latte Macchiato? The most colorful story of the cosmos in 13.8 billion years! Florian Freistetter studied astronomy at the University of Vienna. In 2008, he founded the astronomy blog "Astrodicticum simplex," which is among the most-read German science blogs. His podcast “Sternengeschichten” is one of the most successful in German. Since 2015, Freistetter has been a permanent member of the science cabaret group Science Busters.
