Description
Nomade Culture presents: Der Šenster Gob is an acoustic group from Prague that plays gypsy, Jewish, and Balkan music, traveling across Europe in a romantic green wooden caravan. Its name, in Yiddish, means "The most beautiful gift." The band blends raw beauty and energy of Eastern European folk music, mainly traditional gypsy and klezmer music, with innovative arrangements, unexpected combinations, style changes, and fiery improvisations. Their music, both very danceable and pleasant to listen to, is appreciated at festivals, weddings, and parties of all kinds... Over the past 14 years, the band has performed more than 650 concerts in 26 countries. The group consists of four musicians, with an instrumental lineup including clarinet, violin, guitar, and double bass. Busking (street music) is an essential part of Der Šenster Gob's history and current identity. The group's early travels across Europe were solely aimed at playing on the street, while the musicians also participated in initiatives supporting the legalization of street art in Prague. Artists: Matěj Heinzl - clarinet, saxophone, vocals Mar Jan Vítů - guitar, vocals Vojtěch Vasko - double bass, vocals
