The plot of the ballet is based on the fantastic story of the German Romantic
E. T. A. Hoffmann "Nussknacker and Mouse King". The story of a young girl who receives a nutcracker as a gift and dreams that it turns into a fairy tale prince fascinates young and old around the world.
For a few hours, one is transported from everyday life into the romantic and imaginative world of dreams and desires.
As the Christmas evening guests say goodbye, Klara goes once more to her presents. There she falls asleep. At midnight, the nutcracker and dolls come to life, and Klara suddenly finds herself in a magical world. Snowflakes and dancing flowers accompany the girl on her journey into the realm of the beautiful sugar fairy. A magical Christmas fairy tale that delights small and large ballet fans at every performance.
The world premiere of the ballet "Der Nussknacker" took place at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg in December 1892. The show is performed by the International Ballet Company Italy - Artistic Director Alessandro Bonavita.
The International Ballet Company Italia was founded in 2022 and unites the most charismatic and talented dancers from around the world.
This ballet company consists of 40 professional dancers who hold diplomas from the most renowned institutions and choreographic schools from various countries.
