A large orchestra, soloists, and singers from the Cinema Festival Symphonics celebrate the 20th anniversary of Peter Jackson's film success with a live concert featuring a full orchestra. In an impressive concert experience with soloists, choir, and orchestra, the legendary world of Hobbits, Elves, and Orcs is brought to life. The journey to Middle-earth ranges from the threatening sounds of Mordor and the shrill attack of the Black Riders to the beautiful lyrical melodies of the Elves – the renowned Cinema Festival Symphonics transform reality into a musical spectacle of Middle-earth. Composer Howard Shore created much of the music for the film trilogies 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' and was awarded an Oscar, Grammys, and a Golden Globe for it. His leitmotifs make the audience feel as if the Ring's power is unfolding and corrupting the bearer of all power: a parable that could very well fit into today's world.
