What does the beginning of a revolution sound like? Beethoven steps onto the stage in Vienna – impulsive, highly talented, and full of drive to redefine the boundaries of the piano. From the first energetic chords of the F minor Sonata to the charming lightness of Opus 49 to the first mighty exclamation mark in music history: the "Pathétique". Martin Nöbauer, an Austrian pianist, already performed in Chur in the 2026 season in a highly acclaimed and sold-out concert. He completely captivated the audience and returns to the Alpine city with the Beethoven cycle in a spectacular manner. Martin excels on modern and historical instruments. He was a finalist at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw 2023, which resulted in a Chopin Institute CD with recordings from the competition. He has won several major prizes, including Classic on Danube (Vienna) and the Hildegard Maschmann Foundation Competition (University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna). Other successes include Musica Antiqua Brugge, Mozarteum Summer Festival, Musica Juventutis, and Fortepiano Plus Schloss Kremsegg. Together with Elisabeth Leonskaja, he performed at the Stars and Rising Stars Festival in Munich; concerts also took him to Linz, Graz, St. Florian, Mondsee, and Dubai Opera. Recital at Chopin House Żelazowa Wola, upcoming CD “Chanter avec les doigts” (Chopin) at Gramola, debuts at the Unione Musicale in Turin and “Chopin and his Europe” in Warsaw. Education: Linz (Anton Bruckner Private University), currently piano with Pavel Gililov (Mozarteum Salzburg); further influences include the Hammerklavier, Imola, Aspen, and also through the Music Academy in Liechtenstein in their Imperial program.
