Description

From October 2 to 4, 2026, starting from Bellinzona, participants will cover approximately 500 kilometers and 9,000 meters of positive elevation gain, entirely self-supported, on secondary roads, dirt paths, remote valleys, ancient villages, and spectacular ascents in the heart of the Ticino landscape. The unique aspect of this event is its 'free route' format: no predefined itinerary. Cyclists must reach all mandatory checkpoints, freely choosing the order and the best route to connect them. A challenge that allows for strategy, exploration, and a spirit of adventure. And at the end of these diverted paths, the reward is worth it: local specialties await the participants, a delicious break to recharge and discover the region through its flavors. There are 5 checkpoints, spread across each of the tourist regions (Mendrisiotto, Luganese, Locarnese, Bellinzona e Valli, and Mesolcina). Their locations will be communicated to participants one month before the event, at the beginning of September, giving them a month to plan their route.
