📍 What to expect? Days of Military History will take you to interesting and often normally inaccessible places connected to military history. You will glimpse the secrets of historical buildings, explore authentic locations, and learn many fascinating facts about events that shaped the city and its surroundings. Come to not just listen to history, but truly experience it. ⚔️🏰 The final program is still in preparation, however, the following locations are already confirmed: 🔴Bunker Přáslavice A civil defense bunker from the 1970s, fully equipped with period technologies. You will see former telecommunication halls, backup power sources, filtration and decontamination chambers, a kitchen, bedrooms, offices for bunker management, and many other rooms with equipment designed to ensure the survival of the bunker crew for up to 10 days. 🔴Yugoslav Mausoleum The mausoleum of Yugoslav soldiers, or the Yugoslav Mausoleum, is a monumental neoclassical building from 1926 serving as a burial place for the remains of Yugoslav soldiers. The mausoleum is located in Bezručovy Sady in the historic center of Olomouc. 🔴Institute of National Memory (former civil defense shelter) The Olomouc Institute of National Memory is located in a former shelter in Bezručovy Sady, which was established in the mid-1950s as the headquarters of civil defense. Visitors will have the opportunity to view the audiovisual exhibition Uncovered Stories of the 20th Century in these premises and explore the entire shelter space – 561 m2, 2 floors, 39 rooms + engine room. It will be open from Friday, November 6 to Sunday, November 8, always from 1 PM to 5 PM. 🔴Fortress Knowledge In the well-preserved area of the Crown Fort in Olomouc, there is a rare historical building with a wooden structure. In 1857, it became an inseparable part of the fortification.
