David Helbock, a flagship of Austrian jazz, captivates audiences worldwide with his projects. His virtuosity and creativity have earned him numerous awards, including several prizes at the world's largest jazz piano solo competition in Montreux. For his current project, Helbock has teamed up with versatile electric bassist and cellist Julia Hofer from Vienna. Her career took off on Facebook with a bass cover of Michael Jackson's hit «Get on the Floor», which was clicked over a million times. The duo presents their first joint album, which fascinates with inventive effects, rhythmic percussion elements on the piano, and dynamic switching between cello and electric bass. In fall 2025, the duo released a new album on the internationally renowned label ACT Music. The album is a captivating mix of calm, dreamy original compositions and groovy jazz pieces that showcase the unmistakable style of Helbock and Hofer.
