I almost called this show "Pleasure." And then I thought that the only pleasures one might think of in front of such a title would be the pleasures forbidden to those under 18. However, for financial reasons, I want those under 18 to also be able to attend my show. So I called it "Delicious": it's a family show. In an hour and a quarter, I will try to unravel the complexity of what causes pleasure in human beings. Of course, pleasure can come from a glass of Chasselas that you let linger on the shores of the lake in spring. But it can also be caused by the death of someone you dislike. Of course, an unexpected promotion within the company brings joy. But also eating Gruyère cheese in Gruyères, or knowing — when you're French — that you don't pronounce the "z" in Étivaz (which allows us to delightfully correct all the fools who make the mistake). My goal is for this show to evoke a certain pleasure in you, in a mise en abyme as delightful as eating Gruyère in Gruyères.
