The Black Gold of Engi

Description

For the 675th anniversary "Land Glarus in the Swiss Confederation," Theater Glarus, the Theaterverein Elm, and the chliibüni glärnisch are collaborating for the first time on a joint production. "The Black Gold of Engi" is performed directly in the historic Landesplattenberg and tells the moving story of the Höfti mining family in the 19th century. The focus is on hard work, poverty, illness, and the constant danger in the mine, but also hope, love, and family cohesion. The impressive setting in the tunnel, specially composed songs, music, and lighting make the story a special theatrical experience. Good to know:
To ensure you sit dry and comfortably, we personally select your online booked seats on site and assign them to you directly. We naturally take groups and families into account. Reason: the Landesplattenberg is a living mountain, it drips, almost every day in a different spot. Please note: - Wear warm clothing! The temperature in the mine is constantly around 10 degrees Celsius.
