a. gon Theater stage adaptation by Stefan Zimmermann The young, idealistic teacher Carla is new at the high school. A series of thefts shocks the school. Horrified, she witnesses students from her class being publicly searched and frisked. Because Ali has unusually much money with him, his parents and he have to justify themselves to the principal, even though he did not steal.
Then Carla decides to find the truth herself. She secretly runs her laptop camera in the teachers' lounge and films the perpetrator. It appears to be the mother of her favorite student Oskar. However, the woman vehemently denies the deed. Teachers, students, and parents are torn. The attitude of the school and especially Carla's actions are controversial. With each step, Carla's isolation grows - some colleagues and parents see her detective engagement as an overreach. The pressure on Oskar also increases - fellow students tease him as the son of the "criminal mother". Desperately, he accuses Carla of lying and demands a public apology from her. When she does not comply, the situation escalates... But even then, Carla does not give up on her student and fights for him.
