In Every Corner

Description

Being at the corner of the street, smiling in the corner or cuddling in a nook to dream... The corner is a familiar motif that inhabits both our language and our memory. With this new creation, La Poudrière offers a sensitive journey into these peripheral spaces, often associated with daydreaming, waiting, solitude, or punishment. Inspired by the work of Gaston Bachelard, Léo Vuille's staging depicts a vibrant refuge where emptiness does not exist and where boredom becomes an open door to a bustling life. In an original stage setup, conceived as a moving geometry, puppets, objects, and projections blend to reveal these interstices. Driven by three performers, these "inhabitants of the corners" take us into a timeless oasis, far from the injunctions of productivity. A visual and poetic show that invites us to see these neglected small territories differently and to celebrate the solidarity that sometimes arises at the margins of the world. Side stage on Sat. April 24 after the performance.
