Description

The music of this virtuoso trio combines classical, jazz, Brazilian sounds, Arabic musical influences, and folk music into a virtuoso performance that reinterprets the musical present. The suite "Around the World," commissioned by the Berlin Philharmonic from composer Daniel Schnyder, is the centerpiece of the evening. The music depicts a world tour that begins in Berlin, visits Switzerland in the middle, and finally returns to Berlin with a quote from Beethoven's 9th Symphony. Daniel Schnyder, flute/saxophone
