Description
Authentic Tango, Passion and Precision The Cuarteto SolTango mainly brings the classical tango music from the Golden Age of tango culture in the 30s and 40s to the stage. The musical richness is reflected in the great variety of musical styles and Orquestas Típicas that have gained popularity in tango salons and concert halls around the world. The ensemble plays in artistic arrangements by initiator Martin Klett, who is known as an international prize winner and versatile pianist. The Dutch cellist Karel Bredenhorst, also a founding member, performs both as a passionate chamber musician and in experimental crossover projects. Violinist Thomas Reif was appointed concertmaster of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra at age 26 and has received various international awards. The bandoneon is played by Norwegian Andreas Rokseth, who graduated as the best bandoneonist in the history of Codarts University Rotterdam and thrilled the Argentine audience at the Buenos Aires Festival y Mundial. There is no printed program for Cuarteto SolTango concerts. The musicians announce the titles and tell live about the backgrounds and contents of the individual pieces, anecdotes from the lives of important tango musicians, and explain why every German should learn bandoneon...
