She is one of the most influential figures on the international scene. Choreographer, puppeteer, and stage director, Gisèle Vienne breaks the codes and unfolds fascinating visions between disturbance, ecstasy, and resistance. It required a bold and free perspective on our world to launch an exceptional year in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the first Swiss cultural capital. Since its creation in 2017, "Crowd" has become a classic in her repertoire, an intense dive into a rave party where movements and fictions vibrate. This hypnotic ballet draws its strangeness from the hallucinatory gestures of dancers who reproduce effects usually reserved for video: slow motion, jerks, GIFs. This sensory and sensual performance, choreographed by Gisèle Vienne, reclaims the celebration as an experience comparable to archaic rites; trance, sacrifices, initiation ceremonies. The fifteen performers are as many characters whose stories and feelings are woven and revealed with astonishing precision. Masterful. Gisèle Vienne is a Franco-Austrian artist, choreographer, and stage director. After studying philosophy and music, she trained at the École Supérieure Nationale des Arts de la Marionnette. For twenty years, her stage productions and choreographies have triumphed in Europe and are regularly presented in Asia and America ("Jerk", 2008; "This is how you will disappear", 2010; "LAST SPRING: A Prequel", 2011; "The Ventriloquists Convention" 2015...). She regularly exhibits her photographic work in numerous museums around the world, New York, Paris, Buenos Aires, Berlin...
