Description
Corinna Harfouch is coming to the Rigiblick Theater with a musically enriched reading. "Pentameron" is the title of a collection of fairy tales by Giambattista Basile, published in 1634/36, containing 50 stories: Wise princesses, animal kings, dragon slayers, the girl without hands, clumsy fools, brave adventurers, grim ogres, helpful fairies, princes and kings - in short: long-familiar characters of Western fairy tale literature populate this early Baroque masterpiece. The Neapolitan knight, courtier, and poet Giambattista Basile (1566-1632) wrote fifty witty, linguistically surprising, and by no means apolitical stories with this fairy tale collection, which is the first collection of European fantasy stories. It was published posthumously between 1634 and 1636 as "Pentameron" (Five-Day Work) and became world-famous. During her reading from Basile's collection, Corinna Harfouch will be accompanied by creative musical partners: Hannes Gwisdek on electronics and Stefan Maass on electric guitar. Participants and additional information: Corinna Harfouch reading, Hannes Gwisdek electronics, Stefan Maass guitar.
