HTV (Hudební Těleso Vemena) was formed during the COVID-19 pandemic, when making music had to move from pubs to cottages and vacation homes. There, they continued their favorite jam sessions “on the sly”—and it was from these gatherings that the band was born, a group that plays mainly for the joy of it.
The current lineup solidified about three years ago. The core consists of F. Nejedlo (vocals, acoustic guitar), P. Ječmínek (vocals, electric guitar), and L. Pokorný (bass guitar)—a trio that previously played in the band Šance and still performs with the New Rangers today.
During the dark days of the COVID-19 pandemic, F. Nejedlo met violinist Z. Kostohryzová at a jam session; she brought drummer K. Pekař into the group—and with that, the lineup was complete.
Since then, HTV has been presenting laid-back music without stylistic boundaries. Their repertoire includes songs spanning various genres as well as covers with original lyrics. The band places particular emphasis on melody, catchiness, and energy, which—combined with the members’ experience—transforms HTV’s musical evenings into an enjoyable experience full of good vibes.
