Energetic performances, songs with Czech lyrics, Anděl award... The South Bohemian band Epydemye is known for its energetic performances, songs with distinctive Czech lyrics, and the Anděl award. This laid-back group of musicians is considered one of the most distinctive musical ensembles on the contemporary folk scene. The band received the Anděl genre award in 2015 for the album Kotlina, which processed the life stories of personalities from Czechoslovak history in the 20th century. The album Milé děti (2019) was nominated for the genre Anděl. In 2021, the band released the album Prosklený nebe, inspired by a stay in the Neratov church with a glass roof. In 2025, the band celebrated 20 years of existence with the release of the album Dosebe.
