Kurkuma – different, Far Eastern, underestimated and persistent - Just like me! Welcome to my first solo! Eyyy (common greeting form of my generation), I am a native of Appenzell Ausserrhoden with Tamil roots. At 21 years old (phew, I'm old), I commute between Grub, Zurich, and Bern. More precisely, between social life, lecture halls, and open mics. And if there is still some time left, I patiently spell out my name. Not only the pre-programmed culture clash occupies me. Life as a country girl, growing up, contrasts, and blows of fate are also part of my struggles and thus on stage! (Right, it's going well for me) About Reena:
Cheeky, young, charming, and maybe a bit naive. Reena Krishnaraja already won the SRF Best Talent Comedy Award 2022 at the tender age of 19. The native of Ausserrhoden with Tamil roots tells on stage how this combination manages everyday life. The comedienne grew up in the village of Grub AR (best village). Reena accidentally got into the stand-up comedy scene. To compensate for her math grade at the cantonal school, she wrote a 100-minute program as her final project (I got a 6). Reena went to her first open mics and was asked for shows. Meanwhile, Reena studies social sciences in Bern during the day and performs on stages throughout the German-speaking part of Switzerland in the evenings. With captivating stories and insights, she fascinates the audience and often makes them look old (I want to be that young). Doors open: 7:00 PM, start at 8:00 PM - free seating.
