Comeback Tell!

Description

An intense monologue with touching, provocative, but also humorous passages, a journey of a Tell performer who is repeatedly desperate, unable to escape his guilt of pointing a gun at his own child, and must relive his theatrical role story over and over again. The solo evening was performed 19 times during the Tellspielzeit of 2008 on the long, audience-space-spanning stage of the Schiller's Tell, sometimes as a nocturne after the evening performance, sometimes as a regular show. Later, under the direction of Geri Dillier, it even became a radio play, which is still available in the DRS media library. The comeback:
For this time, the term "comeback" does not refer to a fortunate revival of a star, but to the driven necessity to reconcile the guilt of a role. The Tell performer must repeatedly, in an unending confrontation with his guilt, target his own son, and play his story. Without acting, he cannot be. Perhaps he could do it better once, as a father, as a role, as a character. Maybe in the next performance?
