This workshop is aimed at all interested parties who want to learn about the unique sound of analog cassette recordings and use it creatively. Together, we explore the characteristic properties of the cassette medium and learn how these can be used for sound design in music production. In addition to an introduction to the operation of multi-track cassette recorders, practical application examples are presented. At the end, a demonstration shows how analog cassette recorders can be synchronized with modern DAWs like Ableton Live and integrated into hybrid production workflows.
