ClarinArt Experience the ClarinArt Ensemble – a multifaceted clarinet trio that has been bringing its musical signature to the stage for 25 years. Featuring Wenzel Grund (clarinet, basset horn), Eveline Eichenberger (clarinet, basset horn), and Sven Bachmann (clarinet, basset horn), three graduates of the Bern University of Music, as experienced soloists and chamber musicians. Their repertoire particularly includes works by Mozart – masterfully performed on the deep, mysteriously delicate, and uniquely sounding basset horns. The musicians create a homogeneous, colorful sound image that has grown through decades of collaboration. Their search for the perfect timbre influences each piece: in addition to the usual soprano clarinets in A and Bb, they also use basset horns and bass clarinets, resulting in noticeably varied sound colors. As an innovative clarinet trio, the ensemble actively explores works from various eras and styles – and places great emphasis on collaboration with other art forms. It also features compositions by local composers, which are a core part of the programs. Thus, an evening of concert unfolds full of expression, precision, and surprising nuances.
