Circle-Songs – Day Course

Description

Participants explore playful approaches to free vocal improvisation in a group, learn and deepen the basics of improvisation, play with musically-moved creative forms, and awaken their own musical creativity. The focus is on singing, creating, and improvising together. This day course is suitable for both improvisation beginners and experienced improvisers who are curious about inputs in a supportive experimental space. Course content varies depending on the composition and interests of the participants. Key content: - Basic principles of free improvisation - Creation of vocal loops, tools, and sources of inspiration - Harmonic-melodic and rhythmic variation possibilities - Interaction of vocal parts, musical function/dimension - Vocalization: syllables, gibberish, fantasy languages, scat vocabulary, words, lyrics - Timbres, sound qualities - Sound blending - Musically-moved "storytelling" - Intuitive sign languages for musical co-creation Further information: Bring a lunch contribution for the shared buffet.
