Eyes open: The Carnival of Circa is coming to our city and tells fantastic stories of land and sea animals that can roll, fly, and jump, dancing through the wondrous world of the animal kingdom: There are zebras juggling and doing somersaults! And kangaroos performing flips. Elephants drum the rhythm, and the bones of the dinosaurs rattle, roll, and vibrate to the music... – 'Carnival of the Animals' takes the audience on an exhilarating circus journey full of feathers, fur, and fins, inspired by Camille Saint-Saëns' famous composition 'Carnival of the Animals' from 1886. The artists of Circa bring the animal world to life on stage: They frolic, fly, jump, and whirl through fantastic worlds full of humor, movement, and music. An experience that wonderfully combines circus, music, and love for animals in a playful way. CIRCA is one of the most innovative contemporary circus companies in the world. Founded in 2004 in Brisbane, Australia, Circa regularly performs at festivals and stages in New York, London, Berlin, and Montreal. The artists combine acrobatic virtuosity with storytelling, music, and theatrical elements to enchant audiences of all ages.
