Description
Under the title “Chance Directed,” the Kesselhaus presents a multifaceted, interdisciplinary exhibition exploring aleatoric art in contemporary art. The exhibition was inspired by René Kümpel, whose untitled backstage photographs from the Schauspielhaus Zürich serve as its starting point. Together with Carlo Blötzer, Edith Amrhein, Erik Blötzer, Francis Bissat, and Sieglinde Schenk, photographic art, kinetic iron sculptures, and expressive painting merge into a vibrant Gesamtkunstwerk. The site-specific lighting design by scenographer Michael Hartmann creates a gripping dialogue between the raw concrete walls and the artworks.
