Description
By adapting his show "Vielleicht" for audiences aged 11 to 19, Cédric Djedje continues his hunt for the ghosts of colonization in urban space with "It's a lot of little fish that managed to pierce the fisherman's net". This field investigation delineates the shadow areas of history and the subjectivity of its restitution in the form of a docu-fictional show. Through storytelling, dance, as well as filmed sequences and graphic videos, we delve into the heart of the "Afrikanisches Viertel"; a popular neighborhood in Berlin where a significant African community lives. Twenty-five street names still refer to the German colonial past. Isn't it obscene to give the streets inhabited by the descendants of colonized peoples the names of their oppressors?
