Description
A visionary artist, with rare expressive intensity and unique theatricality, she explores music as a living language capable of speaking to our present. At the age of 21, she completed her musical training at the Conservatory of Bern, where she has resided ever since. It is therefore a pleasure to find her here as Artistic Partner of Camerata Bern, with whom she shares the same curiosity, a taste for risk, and a deep artistic requirement. Founded in 1962, Camerata Bern has established itself as one of Europe's most inventive string ensembles. The ensemble cultivates a sound of great precision while remaining adventurous. The program imagined by Patricia Kopatchinskaja traces a journey through the states of human existence. Her own work, Ursprung der Welt, opens the evening with a sound meditation inspired by a mother's cry giving birth. From Purcell to Ligeti, the early works evoke exploration and childhood possibilities, while Mozart and Schubert delve into the complex landscapes of the soul. Between these stages, Kurtág's miniatures suspend time. Then Schulhoff's energy emerges like a final surge, before Schumann and Schubert open the perspective to other spheres. A musical journey as intense as it is poetic.
