Description

The event takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, and includes a roughly 9 km route from Cademario to Arosio, passing through hiking trails, forests, and the region's typical cultural landscape. The goal of the day is to offer participants an experience that combines outdoor activities, exploration of the region, and appreciation of local products. The hike is accompanied by social moments: it begins with a breakfast, and along the way, participants can stop at the farm "Azienda Agricola Poma," where an aperitif with typical regional products is served. At the destination Arosio, there will be a communal lunch with polenta and ragout – a convivial conclusion to the day and an opportunity for participants, locals, and local stakeholders to meet. The initiative aims to promote gentle and sustainable tourism by exploring lesser-known paths and landscapes and creating an ideal connection between the Lugano region and the upper Malcantone. Additionally, the event seeks to support and raise awareness of agricultural farms, producers, and local stakeholders by linking sport, nature, gastronomy, and the local community. The hike is aimed at families, adults, and youth, and aims to establish itself as an annual event that invites discovering the region through a simple, accessible, and authentically local experience.
