Burgäschi Tanzorchester & Friends

Description

Especially Bananas! With energy, charm, and a touch of nostalgia, Burgäschi Tanzorchester & Friends takes you into the crazy world of the 1920s and 1930s. Into a time when jazz and swing conquered dance halls and the first sound films and suitcase gramophones created entirely new distribution channels for music. The evening is a homage to the era of Neue Sachlichkeit, a period between upheaval and glamour, between crises and creativity. At the center are timeless melodies and chansons, as once performed by the Comedian Harmonists, Marlene Dietrich, or Richard Tauber. Tenor — Simon Haldemann and Timothy Löw Schrammel Quartet Musical direction — Reimar Walthert
