On Sunday, November 15th at 2:00 PM, Daniel Grob will present his new book at the Toggenburger Museum in Lichtensteig: «When the Woman Professor Wrote to Her Former Maid». It is about his grandmother, the Krinau farmer Nina Wäspi, who remained in lifelong written contact with her 'lordship' after her household service with a Bernese professor's wife. Based on the letters from her estate, a touching novel was created, depicting the lifelong friendship of two very different women. They exchanged everyday matters such as the children's growing up, worries during rationing in World War II, but also thoughts and dreams connected the two women despite their very different life circumstances.
