In 'How to be a Hamburger', Mark Lyndon takes his audience on a hilarious journey through the quirks of the Hanseatic city. With British charm and sharp observational skills, he explains why Hamburgers never exaggerate, express enthusiasm with 'You can do that', and why a conversation can sometimes end after just two words: 'Moin.' – 'Jo.' On this evening, you will learn, among other things, why you should never take the last half of a Franzbrötchen without asking in Hamburg, why Hanseatic friendliness often sounds like mild dissatisfaction, and why a Hamburger will still claim 'It's just a bit windy' even during a storm surge and continuous rain. The evening will be musically accompanied. And very British, tea and shepherd's pies are also part of the evening. Between British humor, North German understatement, and affectionate self-irony, a punchline-rich evening is created for die-hard Hamburgers as well as for those who might want to become one.
