Richard, who once built dams and aqueducts, lives in seclusion in a residential complex after his wife's death. Because he rejects her political views, he has cut off contact with his daughter Helen, a lawyer married to a Black writer. It is especially difficult for him to ask her for help because he can see almost nothing anymore and can no longer live alone. Two incompatible life plans, which have long excluded living together for both, clash. Neither has been able or willing to build a bridge to the other so far.
Both are blind - blind to the other's perspective, blind to the injuries they have inflicted on each other... until a cautious approach begins, through which they gradually recognize the motives, fears, and wishes of the other - and develop understanding for each other for the first time. The new play by Lot Vekemans, performed in over 35 countries and translated into 22 languages, hits the nerve of the times through its universal and current theme. The author raises the question of whether it is possible to love someone whose beliefs one rejects. The advance sale for individual tickets begins on September 1, 2026.
