Description
The famous clarinet trio by Brahms is a masterpiece of Romanticism and is part of the essential clarinet repertoire. Fanny Hensel-Mendelssohn was Felix's elder sister. Her compositional work includes over 460 pieces. Her family largely forbade her, during her lifetime, from pursuing a musical career as well as performing and publishing her compositions. The Trio in D minor (1847) is Fanny's last major work before her sudden death in May 1847. Andrea Kollé, flute – Calogero Palermo, clarinet – Payam Taghadossi, cello – Alexander Boeschoten, piano. Aperitif before the concert from 6:15 PM
