Long, long ago, in a faraway world, there was the Zurich Puppet Theater in a cellar on Stadelhoferstrasse. There, the puppets played day in, day out, and enjoyed their lives. That was beautiful. And today? Today, at the same location, there is the Theater Stadelhofen. No longer a puppet theater, but a theater of things. What kind of things? Yes, a theater of things. And the puppets? Were they driven out by all sorts of things, objects, materials, and modern figures? Where have all the puppets gone? Of course! They have moved to television and film! This evening, we take time to look at the puppets that have made the leap into the TV. We have asked Jane Mumford to introduce her favorite puppets.
