Every month, a different well-known personality takes on the role of host! In 1974, Hans Gmür and Karl Suter founded the live talk show "Bernhard Apéro." After 342 episodes, the last "Bernhard Apéro" took place in 1998. It took 17 years for the format to regain its regular spot as "Bernhard Matinée." It was hosted with great success by Moritz Leuenberger for six years. Since November 2021, the Matinée has a new host each month. They choose their guests themselves and bring along esteemed artists from music and comedy. Film critics take a critical and humorous look at the latest movies, and our house band "Three for the Blues" accompanies you from the beginning to the Apéro through the Matinée.

General Information

The Bernhard Matinée is a monthly live talk show at the Bernhard-Theater in Zurich. Well-known personalities host the event and invite selected guests from music and comedy, while the house band provides musical accompaniment.
