Description
Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden; Conductor: Philippe Bach
Soloist: Matthias Ziegler – Flutes With the unbridled energy of Ludwig van Beethoven's Coriolan Overture, the concert begins in the Stäfa church. In contrast, the flute concerto "NOLA" (Persian for gentleness and sound ornaments) composed for soloist Matthias Ziegler by Tajik composer Benjamin Yusupov stands. This takes concert visitors through a Central Asian soundscape of exotic beauty and virtuoso playful folk dances. The instruments played, bass and contrabass flute, were developed by the soloist himself and served as inspiration for the composer.
The journey of discovery leads back to the equally dance-like and playful 8th Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven, described by the composer himself as "my little symphony in F." Cheerfulness and joy of life conclude the concert.
