Her sets oscillate between nostalgia, resistance, and ecstasy, bringing different musical influences together on a shared dancefloor. DORACELL's sound is political, sensual, and unpredictable – an invitation to be carried away by rhythm and movement. Mammal Hands are at the forefront of a new generation of British musicians who see jazz as a starting point for a unique, genre-crossing expression. The Norwich-based trio blends contemporary European jazz with influences from electronica, minimal music, folk, and rock – creating a distinctive hypnotic, cinematic sound that reaches an international audience far beyond traditional genre boundaries. With their sixth album Circadia, Mammal Hands open a new chapter. The first release on the ACT label marks not only an artistic restart but also an expansion of their sonic freedom. It is also the first album featuring drummer Rob Turner (formerly of GoGo Penguin), who has known the band for a long time and now as a new creative center significantly shapes the rhythmic foundation. Circadia was born out of intensive touring experiences, open musical sketches, and collaborative studio work in East London. Improvisation, presence in the moment, and strong, collective timing are at the core. The band's sound continues to evolve: hypnotic melodies, electronic textures, and organic rhythms merge into dense, narrative soundscapes. The result is nine pieces that feel both familiar and new – from energetic, rhythmically driven passages to calm, almost meditative moments.
