Description

Musical storytelling - Sound painting Three Becks, each with their own musical preferences and working in corresponding fields, have come together to champion lively musicianship.
Elements of classical, jazz, folklore, and drone music are the building blocks of the compositions by Gotthard Beck, which leave room for improvisation and emotional expression. They are based on a music psychological way of thinking that assigns special meaning to individual tones, keys, harmonies, and rhythms.
The brothers David and Samuel already played together in the crossover band Luchten in the early 1990s, then took different musical paths, and now meet again in this family project. The music in Becktrio is styled in a way that incorporates the diverse musical backgrounds of the family members (from oriental, Indian, North African to rock, pop, and jazz).
Basically, it can be said that the world of chords and harmonies has a large analogy to the inner life of humans. It is an experience where listeners soon feel immersed and encounter their own emotional film. Thus, the music becomes a matter of self-experience for performers and listeners.
