Béatrice Berrut - A Revolutionary Musical Odyssey

Description

The Émotions Musicales Season has set itself the mission to vibrate the Valais cultural landscape by programming exceptional artists in intimate and intense formats. For our upcoming flagship event in Sion, we break the norms of the cultural scene by inviting a great virtuoso to reveal a completely new facet of her genius: Béatrice Berrut. Béatrice Berrut: The Valaisan Excellence at the SummitBorn in Monthey, trained at the top European academies (Lausanne, Zurich, Berlin), Béatrice Berrut is an essential figure in the international piano scene. Recently awarded the prestigious Rünzi Prize 2025, she is praised by critics for her monumental interpretations of Liszt or Bach. Recognized artistic director (Rencontres Musicales de Champéry, Festival Les Ondes) and composer in residence, she embodies the rigor, prestige, and cultural radiance of our canton far beyond our borders. The Concept: The Metamorphosis "Dreamy Night"After years at the top of the global classical repertoire, Béatrice Berrut has chosen to listen to her instinct as a global creator by breaking academic barriers. Revealed exclusively by Le Nouvelliste, her new concept is a major aesthetic shock: the sung concert. For the first time, the audience will not only discover her fingers running over the keyboard but will be enchanted by her own voice, a crystalline and poetic texture of great purity. On stage, she teams up with talented bassist Nadir Graa. Together, they fuse the nobility of the piano, the enveloping roundness of the bass, and hypnotic electronic layers. Their repertoire builds a bold bridge between the rigor of Jean-Sébastien Bach and the dreamlike trip-hop or pop universe of cult artists such as Portishead, Morcheeba, Radiohead, and Muse. An artistic proposal of absolute modernity, accessible, enchanting, and deeply memorable.
