Description

Babe Haven is a queer punk band known for their Riot-Grrrl attitude and Nu-Metal influence. Founded in Boone, North Carolina, by Lillie Della Penna and Naomi Poesel, the band creates anthems of empowerment and resistance that are full of raw aggression. Aiming to give a voice to women, queer people, and BIPoC, Babe Haven transforms every concert into a space of radical inclusion and catharsis. Babe Haven excites audiences with their energetic performances and sold-out shows, quickly establishing themselves as a fixture in the modern punk scene. They have shared the stage with bands like Mannequin Pussy, Otoboke Beaver, Soft Play, Teen Mortgage, Pinkshift, and Pollyanna. They have also performed at well-known festivals such as L7’s Fast and Frightening Takeover, Punk Rock Bowling, and Jorts Fest. Latter is a Chicago-based noise rock project, founded in 2022 by Philadelphia-born sound artist Meredith Haines and drummer Jonathan Alvarado (Beach Bunny). Haines’ background in sound art and modern dance influences the band’s performances, which blur the lines between noise rock, performance art, and sound art, breaking genre boundaries with an explosive mix of tension and vulnerability.
