Description

The two "musical brothers" Axel Wolf and Hugo Siegmeth combine early classical music with jazz in their program "Flow - Jazz and Renaissance." They dedicate themselves to works by Claudio Monteverdi, George Gershwin, John Dowland, and Miles Davis, among others. The styles meet here intensively and freely. Without fear of contact, Hugo Siegmeth and Axel Wolf create small masterpieces – timeless music from singing wood.
Sometimes the tenor saxophone lets the tears flow, accompanied by a theorbo that almost resembles a folk guitar, sometimes the strings of this lute sing the beauty of the famous "Girl from Ipanema" – the chords of the lute wrap the girl in a baroque garment, the woody-round tones of the bass clarinet let her float like an elf.
Both Hugo Siegmeth and Axel Wolf are very versatile, internationally sought-after musicians who have already received valuable awards several times.

General Information
