Description
Antisemitism has many faces – and it often appears in the form of prejudices, clichés, and seemingly harmless remarks. In his essay, Thomas Meyer shares personal experiences with everyday antisemitism – precise, self-ironic, and with subtle humor. Despite the serious topic, his text is surprisingly entertaining, pointed, and repeatedly prompts a smile. Meyer questions not only the prejudices of others but also his own thought patterns, creating a moving contribution to the discussion of antisemitism. We are pleased to welcome Thomas Meyer in person. He will read from his essay and invite you to an evening full of reflection, exchange, and unexpected moments. The library is wheelchair accessible. If you need assistance, please contact the municipality of Rüti, Dept. Society, Heike Deigendesch, heike.deigendesch@rueti.ch, 055 251 32 71
