Automates Jaquet-Droz. Demonstrations

Description

These three famous automata – the Writer, the Musician, and the Drawer – were created in La Chaux-de-Fonds between 1768 and 1774 by exceptional watchmakers: Pierre Jaquet-Droz, his son Henri-Louis, and Jean-Frédéric Leschot. After a long journey through Europe, they were donated to the City of Neuchâtel on May 1, 1909. Since then, they have been the flagship of the Museum's collections. Demonstrations at 2 PM, 3 PM, and 4 PM (duration 45 minutes)
