I am fascinated by water. Its surface is very smooth and acts like a natural mirror. Water offers many visual stimuli that I capture and reproduce in my paintings. I am particularly inspired by landscapes that are upside down, lily ponds, mountain ranges reflected in lakes... My motifs also include plants, flowers, birds, and people. The wood pieces reflect the uniqueness of the respective tree. I work on the wood in a still green state on the lathe. Under very specific conditions, I let them dry slowly.
