On a guided tour, visitors discover the fascinating stories of the private owners of Lenzburg Castle.

The castle was privately owned between 1853 and 1956. The Wedekinds, including poet Frank and singer Erika, spent their youth here. Later, the American industrialist Augustus E. Jessup and his wife Lady Mildred Bowes Lyon lived at the castle, followed by polar explorer Lincoln Ellsworth. The last owner, pilot Marie Louise Ellsworth-Ulmer, finally handed over Lenzburg Castle to the public sector in 1956.
