The permanent exhibition 'Archäologie Schweiz' is located on the first floor of the new building designed by Christ Gantenbein Architects. It presents a chronological overview of key developments in human history, from the first humans over 100,000 years ago to the spread of Christianity around 800 AD. Interactive research stations allow visitors to explore how humans and the environment have influenced each other over millennia.
