The cheesemakers from Appenzell are not as secretive as is always claimed. At least the Appenzell Cheese Festival is always so sociable that the event lasts a whole two days.
Visitors are offered a varied cheese market with numerous attractions over two days. In addition to "schnöchsle" at the stand, a cheesemaker demonstrates live how to make cheese in a vat.
The entire program is accompanied by local music. This event is an absolute must for all cheese lovers!
