Appearance of Samichläuse in Bad Ragaz

Description

Every year on December 6, the bishop with 40 Samichläusen and Schmutzli parades from the Föhrenwäldli through the village of Bad Ragaz to the village pool. Adults and children, locals and vacation guests as well as hundreds of visitors who have traveled from far and wide want to experience the unique ambience. They listen intently to the impressive words of the bishop and get in the mood for the festive Advent season in a fairy-tale setting. The bishop and his Sami lanterns bring light into the village, into the houses and into the hearts of all visitors. To shorten the wait for Samichlaus, the music society Harmonie Bad Ragaz plays.
