What about Eve and the snake? Was paradise a haven of equality? What does Sheherazade Snakebone, the seductive snake of the fall, have to report? Why was Xanthippe, the wife of wise Socrates, so angry? How did more than 2000 years of female oppression come about? Thanks to original compositions and repurposed cover versions, clowning, and profound monologues, paired with wonderful ballads and polyphonic singing, the Apocalypso Blues becomes a hellish pleasure on all levels. Nothing is sacred to punk diva Betty Dieterle and pianist and soprano Ursula Oelke, not even to be joyfully mocked, from which Adam's ribs were created. Hopelessly positive and full of trust that it will probably go wrong after all, the two ladies happily look into a paradisiacal apocalyptic future.
